Another great Disney film will hit the screens in live-action form, this time, “Lilo & Stitch” is production.
The film has already had most of the main cast announced and should enter development soon. Granddaughter Thursday, 13, the actress Sydney Agudong, was announced and will play Nani, Lilo's sister, in addition to Maia Kealoha and the actor Zach Galifianakis in the cast.
The animation officially aired for the first time in 2002 and generated a series, which ran for several seasons.
The plot takes place in Hawaii and revolves around Lilo, an orphaned Hawaiian girl who lives with her older sister, Nani. Lilo is a lonely and clumsy child who is constantly rejected by her schoolmates. In an effort to help Lilo find a friend, Nani allows her to adopt a strange “puppy,” who is actually Stitch, a genetically modified alien creature designed to be destructive and chaotic.
