Considered a 'hit' by critics, 'M3gan' has already grossed more than US$ 30 million in the United States alone and US$ 45 million in total.
According to DeadlineA sequel to the film is already in the early stages of development by Universal Pictures, but no further information has been released.
In Brazil, 'M3gan' opens in theaters on January 19.
The film follows (Allison Williams) a brilliant roboticist at a toy company who uses artificial intelligence to develop M3GAN, a lifelike doll programmed to be a child's greatest companion and a parent's greatest ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece, Gemma enlists the help of the M3GAN prototype to look after the girl. However, being a prototype M3GAN still comes with system errors.
