The movie raises expectations for those who like Disney animations, as Disney recreates live-action versions of its biggest hits, such as Alladin, Cruella, Maleficent, The Lion King among others.
Despite all the beauty of the movie, the acting and the visual effects that can be seen in the trailer, it has been showered with dislikes on YouTube. At the time of writing, the trailer for The Little Mermaid has more than 1.1 million dislikes on the platform.
However, according to The Hollywood ReporterThe official trailer for 'The Little Mermaid' had more than 108 million views in 24 hours, making it the most viewed live-action trailer since The Lion King, which had 130 million views.
