According to the portal DeadlinePaul Mescal will star in the sequel to Gladiator, which won the Oscar for Best Picture.
The information was released on Friday 6th. And the feature should feature Paul Mescal, known for his roles in 'Normal People' and 'Aftersun'. According to Borys Kit, a reporter for The Hollywood Reporter, Mescal beat off competition from Miles Teller, Austin Butler, Richard Madden and Timothée Chalamet, who even read the script.
The script will be written by Peter Craig, from Top Gun: Maverick. Gladiator 2 should take place 25 years after the events of the first film and focus on Lucius. Despite the information, the film does not have a scheduled release date.
